Old Guy Bad
Messing around with photoshop is my job, it’s what I do. Because of this fact I was making some more textures for my vector store and found a pic of an old man that I really liked. The problem with this guy was he wouldn’t render correctly in illustrator when I vectorized him, so I decided to take him into Photoshop to mess around with levels.

Here’s where it gets fun. I left his pic alone except for going into the top menu Image > Adjustments > Black & White

This is the pic of the regular guy no touchy touchy.

Here is the pic of him with me changing levels on the Black & White adjuster.

Here are the settings I used to make him look like this.

Now this effect also works the other way around, you can make someone look younger and fairer by adjusting the reds and yellows.
Here is the same guy just made to look younger and smoother.

Using this effect can really help bring authenticity to a picture, granting the viewers eyes a glimpse into the depths of hell or the fountain of youth.
This is a pic I did with a few layer mask to illustrate the point.
