CFCC and using video on flickr

Well by now you've seen the news that pros users of flickr can now
upload 90sec videos to their account. Hot dog you say. "so I have to
pay 19 bones to upload video that I can put on youtube for free". Consequently, what I will be talking about has nothing to do with
lining flickr's pockets with lucious greenery, in fact most of you, if
involved in cfcc have a pro account.

With the F boys dropping video capabilities we find that the
possibilities for feedback on your marketing pieces just got a whole
lot more zippy. Given the parameter that flickr has of not being able
to upload more than 90sec you are really confined to getting the best
possible message out to your audience you can.

If you are a member of cfcc you'll see many videos now being posted for
critique and general amusement. Check out deviantmonk for some serious
eye candy.

The benefits are endless in allowing others to view your videos for church marketing, "like, OMG it's so cool". Not only do you get timely advise and sage wisdom from the likes if
chadmaag and courtenay to name a few, you also endear people to your
cause to produce
amazing results in effectively reaching more people for Christ. Obviously if you have another service that works for you, by all means
use it but if that service is called godtube, I shall smite with my own
fist for your outright suckiness of using them.

Things you should do:

  • Create an account on flickr
  • Supersize to a pro account
  • Add yourself to the Church Marketing Sucks Lab
  • Start uploading your videos
  • Send a healthy amount of hate mail to godtube for having quite possibly the worst use of christian copycatting around.
  • Go back and check the comments on your video
  • Make it better
  • Submit it again
  • Go bug SeanP about not being able to listen to his itunes.
  • Again, assault godtube for being a proliferation of unsightly design and crappiness.
  • Look at your video again and see that the masses have approved it.
  • Show your video on tv and watch Mr. Jesus smile :)

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
